A little research next time...

So I sent an e mail to Sherrod Brown and George Voinovich urging them to support the Fair Pay Restoration Act, through the form provided on the National Women's Law Center website.

Next time I'll look into things a little more before I send a form e mail to a co-sponsor of a bill.

So embarrassing.

Thank you for sharing your support for the Fair Pay Restoration Act.

The Supreme Court's decision in the case of Ledbetter v. Goodyear deeply troubled me. I share your concerns that this decision undermines statutory protections against discrimination by unduly restricting the time period in which victims can challenge and recover for discriminatory compensation decisions.

The Fair Pay Restoration Act would work to fix the Ledbetter decision by removing the 180 day statute of limitations in which women can challenge wage discrimination in courts.

I am a cosponsor of this legislation and support its passage. As the Supreme Court drifts to the right, I will continue to work for legislative solutions to remedy these situations. Thank you again for contacting me.
