All was going well until I tested the wire on the back and one end fell right off the hook.
I could use some advice on how to hang this. Where would I get a replacement for the wire thing that was used previously. Is there a better way to hang it that would be very easy to do without major tools? It's not light. I think it is real wood, because it's probably at least a few pounds. (I'm very bad at guessing weight.)
Help please?

I'm not the world's greatest DIY person and certainly no authority but you should be able to find the appropriate wire at a Home Depot or Lowes. It doesn't look too big and so long as nothing is too heavy, you should be OK. Take the old wire for comparison.
You'll also find clips (and I call them back pieces but that's the wrong word) that can be mounted in the back and would give you a little better support. But then tools are involved.
PS: Got here from your health care piece via some other link.
